“The
Voice of Prophecy Speaks”
E. Lonnie Melashenko, Director / Speaker
April 27 - May 24, 2003
Columbia, South Carolina
Theme
In the midst of today’s continuing crises in all areas of
life, people want to know what the future holds. An understanding
of prophecy provides the assurance they need. Lonnie’s opening-night
message, ARMAGEDDON: Cosmic Battle of the Ages, taps into the
heightened national interest from Tim LaHaye’s upcoming
(April ‘03) bestseller in the “Left Behind”
series.
During NET
2003, participants will find that the books of Daniel and Revelation
are not mysterious, scary, or incomprehensible — and that
Jesus is at the heart of Bible prophecy.
Schedule
Consecutive evenings for one week (Apr 27 - May 4), then Fri-Sab-Sun-Wed.
Four additional Wednesday evening sermons (May 28, June 4, 11,
18) by Lonnie Melashenko will be uplinked from the Adventist Media
Center for local church use. These will help local pastors transition
new interest names to the neighborhood church.
Sabbath a.m.
uplinked sermons include: May 10, 17, 24.
At the conclusion
of NET 2003, we suggest that pastors present related evangelism
topics for the following four Sabbaths, beginning May 31. The
following presentations in the New Beginnings DVD/PowerPoint series
are available:
Secrets of the Ancient Scrolls (Bible inspiration)
When the Smoke Clears (hell)
Let Freedom Ring (U.S. in prophecy)
Set Free By the Truth (True church)
The Battle For the Throne (Daniel 7).
Other
follow-up suggestions include:

** VOP Focus on Prophecy series
** Cooking school
** Other series (DVD) from groups like Don Gray’s Advent
Digital Media.

Discover
Bible Schools
Discover schools will be a vital part of NET 2003's success! Call
1-877-955-2525 if your church doesn’t yet have an established
school.
Discover Bible
Schools operate under five broad strategies: 1) Door-to-door delivery,
2) Correspondence, 3) Small groups, 4) Video/DVD, 5) Internet.
Note: With a pre-assigned VOP web access code, a lay person can
operate a local online Discover Bible School with virtually no
overhead expenses, i.e. printed lessons, postage, etc.
Ways of generating
names include: enrollment cards, newspaper ads/inserts Adventist
Media Center interests. Four new radio spots have just been prepared,
and are available for local church use.
JUST TESTED
. . . It is powerfully effective to operate a Discover Bible School
DURING all of NET 2003! Attendees can pick up a new lesson each
evening, study at home nightly, turn it in the following night,
pick up previously graded lessons and receive the next in the
series. In Lonnie Melashenko’s recently concluded Los Angeles
2002 series, many visitors completed ALL of Discover and also
Focus On Prophecy in just two weeks. Many were baptized.
Reaching
Former Members
Mike Jones, former editor of Insight, left Adventism for 16 years,
and now has returned with a passion to help reclaim the 1-2 million
“missing” members here in North America. Two new training
videos are available: one by Don Gray, available from Seminars
Unlimited, teaches techniques for successful visitation by trained
lay persons. The other, by Mike and his wife Diane, is entitled
How To Transform Your Church Into a “Velcro” Church
(where members stick after they’ve visited!) Mike is also
planning a quarterly newsletter: Getting In Touch.
A new nationwide
website is being prepared where concerned church members can enter
names and addresses of friends and relatives who have left the
Adventist Church.
